THIRD/FOURTH GRADE BIBLES: Grades 3&4 will come forward to receive their Bibles Reformation Sunday, October 31st. Fourth-graders who did receive Bibles last Fall can consider them a blessing from unusual times. A Bible with a cloth cover and rainbow bookmark will be at the altar for you.
Make A Difference (MAD) Grades 7&8
Sunday school for grades 7-8 is planned as a pre-confirmation experience, providing a format to discuss and act upon lessons learned in Sunday School as well as time to prepare for the intensive confirmation class.
MAD meets during the regular Sunday school time each Sunday, except the first Sunday of the month when they remain in church for communion.
MAD focused on mission and service to other, with intentional reflection on Christian service. Activities include apple picking, projects for the Front Door Agency and the Nashua Soup Kitchen.

Sunday October 17 MAD class will learn about Communion
Sunday, October 24th MAD assembles Halloween packages. Parents and guardians be sure to have college addresses to me. My email is [email protected]. .
HALLOWEEN CARE PACKAGES: On October 24th, the MAD service group will pack and mail Halloween care packages to all young people who have gone away to college, the Armed Forces, an International Exchange program or work. We minister to those who need Tender Loving Care TLC.
Sunday October 31st: MAD worships in the Sanctuary.
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is a one-year program for those in grades 9 or above who wish to explore their faith and learn more about the Bible, the Church, and the Christian faith.
Confirmation Retreat is happening this weekend, October 1-3 at Horton Center 2021. Prayers welcome as we learn, question and grow with God.
CROPWALK: Confirmands & Mentors, join us for the yearly Crop Hunger Walk in Nashua on Sunday October 24th .Check out the details for this community event!
- Registration is from 12-1 at Temple Beth Abraham, 4 Raymond Street in Nashua
- Kick off service begins at 1 and the walk should begin around 1:20
- 3.4 MILE WALK to be followed by BBQ and celebration!

COLLEGE & COLLEGE GRADUATE Addresses! The Christian Formation Board likes to keep in touch with First Church young people who have gone away to college or are newly independent in the Armed Service, an International Exchange Program or other work. Please call the church office or email [email protected] with your children’s current address.
MISSION TRIP 2022: Dominican Republic Mission Trip – Are you interested in mission work? Then consider joining First Church for a medical mission to the Dominican Republic. The trip is scheduled for February 26 through March 6, 2022. Adults and youth (16 unaccompanied or 15 accompanied by parent/guardian) are invited to share their talents to meet many needs of Haitian and Dominican poor centered in La Romana. Whatever skill you bring will be put to use.
