Today is the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost and the liturgical color is green.

TEACHERS MEETING (LUNCH PROVIDED) Sunday, October 24th at 11:30AM in the dining room.

Please mark your calendars as we meet to plan and connect on Sunday October 24th from 11:30 to 1:30 in the Dining Room. Lunch is provided.  Join together as we coordinate and share as a teaching Christian nurture team. Meeting discussions include updates from teaching and nursery teams, Christmas Pageant information, coordination and more.

  • The Crop Hunger Walk is this same day and our agenda accommodates participation in both activities should you so choose.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT REHEARSALS BEGIN: Christmas Pageant Rehearsals begin next Sunday, October 31 with Christmas Pageant Director Steve Blunt.  Karen Hayden is our Costume Director

NURSERY CARE
The church nursery opens at 9:45 AM to care for children (infants through age 2) during the 10:00 AM worship service. Nursery coordinators are on hand to greet parents and explain the procedure for checking in and picking up your child.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

  • Preschool, K and grades 1&2 are learning about Jonah and the Whale
  • Grades 3&4 are learning about and decorating their Bibles, Psalm 23.
  • Grades 5&6 are learning about their Bibles, comparing translations and reading Psalm 23
  • Christmas Pageant Rehearsals begin next Sunday, October 31 with Christmas Pageant Director Steve Blunt.  Karen Hayden is our Costume Director

BIBLE SUNDAY

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 31st: Grades 3 & 4 will come forward to receive their Bibles on Reformation Sunday, October 31. Fourth-graders who did receive Bibles last fall are invited to come forward this year to receive a second Bible. A Bible with a cloth cover and a rainbow bookmark will be at the altar for you.

Teachers and assistants for all classrooms and the nursery will be receiving NIV Children’s and Study Bibles from Christian Formation.

CONFIRMATION

  • CROPWALK – Sunday October 24: Confirmands and Mentors meet at 1:00 at Temple Beth Abraham for CROPWALK for world hunger. LeeAnne will wear a balloon.  If you’ve not already registered online you can register at 12:00 in person.
  • 12-1PM Registration at Temple Beth Abraham, 4 Raymond Street in Nashua
  • 1PM Kick off service begins and the walk should begin around 1:20
  • 3.4 MILE WALK to be followed by BBQ and celebration!
  • BIBLES – On October 31 Confirmands learn about (and receive) the Bible.
