Make a Difference (MAD) News
M.A.D. M.A.D. Students meet today to learn, rally and respond to help victims of the tornadoes December of 2021. Our focus is to learn about this specific disaster and tragedy, what victims need and want and how to help.
Look for M.A.D. Posters with images of the tornado placed around the church to build sensitivity and awareness. Share your time, talents and treasure for those in need. We appreciate the gifts given for this special offering in our Magical, Missional Ministry Bowl. Look for MAD teachers and students or address your offering to MAD Care of LeeAnne Steenhoek and give it to one of the Deacons. May they receive our tornado of love, light and healing.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. -Galatians 6:9
FAMILY FORUM: OKAY TODAY: WAYS TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE
Thank you to Mark Baddeley of Pastoral Counselling Services for being the guest speaker at our recent Family Forum, held on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Mark Baddeley led us in an education forum for children, parents, guardians and caregivers. A recording of the Forum is available.
Mark shares his wisdom and experience as a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with specialties in Anxiety, Emotional Regulation, Trauma, and Parenting. In one hour, we talked about what we can do to keep ourselves centered in what we value most. Simple techniques to how we approach our daily routine inform our mind-body-spirit. We can learn and grow and adapt to better respond to the rapid and unexpected changes we face daily. Please contact LeeAnne or the church office for the link.
