Make a Difference (MAD) News
M.A.D. Students meet on Sunday to learn, rally and respond to help victims of the tornadoes, wildfires and other natural disasters through the UCC fund.
When I told Sexton Steve Buck, he volunteered to craft one of his artisan bowls. This takes time, skill, trial and error. Like people, we can’t see all the imperfections or beauty from the outside and the first bowl Steve started did not work out. Pray with us as Steve begins anew.
Share your time, talents and treasure for those in need. Help our MAD kids Make a Difference!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. -Galatians 6:9
NEW-CHECK IT OUT!
Youth Group begins meeting January 16th 11:30-1:00 Ages 12-19. Are you ready for an adventure? You have a unique opportunity. This first session we will hear from Caroline and Genevieve Steenhoek about their amazing journey with Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Mont Vernon Congregational Church. Starting quite young as campers, becoming counselors and ultimately sharing this Mission project at Prepared to Serve and Lyme Congregational Church. It all started with a visit from a youth group in Clifton Park New York. They read a book called Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations by Alex Harris and Brett Harris and were inspired to create a Vacation Bible experience from scratch selecting scripture, craft, song, story and snack as well as leading daily worship. Minimal adult support is needed facilitating curriculum crafting and ensuring structure and safety. This is your opportunity to serve! We’ve touched many lives with this unique approach to faith and ministry and we’re excited to share and experience it anew with you here at First Church Nashua. Join us!
ATTENTION PROSPECTIVE COLLEGE STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS.
