Today in The Sunday School, November 14, 2021

Today is the 25th Sunday after Pentecost and the liturgical color is green.
Christian Formation thrives on the volunteer support of our Board, teachers, assistants and nursery care workers.
I give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all thy wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1

NURSERY CARE
The church nursery opens at 9:45 AM to care for children (infants through age 2) during the 10:00 AM worship service. Nursery coordinators are on hand to greet parents and explain the procedure for checking in and picking up your child.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

  • Students, Teachers and Assistants begin worship in the Sanctuary today.
  • Worship will continue in Shaw Chapel following the Children’s Message.
  • Following worship we prepare for our Christmas Pageant December on 12th
  • Preschool, K and grades 1 & 2 learn about Moses and the burning bush.
  • Grades 3 & 4 are learning about their Bibles and the angel speaking to Mary and Joseph
  • Grades 5 & 6 are learning about their Bibles and the angel speaking to Mary and Joseph.

MAD Make a Difference teens continue mission work.

CONFIRMATION

  • Confirmands and Mentors began working on The Interview and Reflection both due on January 9 when Mentors and Confirmands introduce each other as a gift from God.
  • Confirmation Class on November 21 is on Creator God taught by Rev. Andy Armstrong. Confirmands are to bring something they’ve made to class.
  • Confirmation Projects are to be submitted to Pat Harris and Fred Daniels if not already submitted.
  • Confirmation Class on December 5 is a Mentors’ Luncheon with Mentors providing lunch. The lesson is on the Birth of Jesus and is taught by Pat Harris.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
First Church Christmas Pageant is December 12 during our 10:00 Service.

GRADES 3 & 4 BIBLE RECIPIENTS
– Congratulations to the 5 children who received their Bibles on October 31.
