Bible, Friends, and Coffee Resumes

Bible, Friends and Coffee Bible Study begins a new season on Monday September 13^th at 9:30 AM. This year we are going to wrap our hearts and minds around what we are to believe today as Christians in 2021. Given there are more than 28,000 denominations in the world today and independent Mega-Churches with a powerful online presence, it’s always good to remind ourselves what we hold to be true. Our guide will be the PCUSA Catechism. This is one of the most biblically grounded, insightful and understandable catechism in use today. Like most catechisms, it helps us explore the three traditional pillars of Christian Faith: The Ten Commandment, The Apostle’s Creed and The Lord’s Prayer.   As members of the United Church of Christ, we are heirs to the Reformed Tradition. This catechism is a gift we can borrow from our cousins—The Presbyterians, The Reformed Church and The ELCA.  I’m confident it will confirm and challenge each of us in some way, but together we’ll grow stronger in our faith and deepen our convictions.

This study is open to anyone with a desire to learn and grow in faith, prayer and fellowship.
