Our closing program (Friday evening) celebrating the Austin organ’s 100th birthday, brings British international concert organist James Kennerley to the Nashua console. The former organ scholar of Saint Paul Cathedral London and former music director of multiple houses of worship in New York City will put the 4,000 pipes of the 1926 Anderson Memorial Organ through its paces with a tour-de-force program including works by Bernstein, Ives, Joplin, Price, Rossini and more!
Mr. Kennerley is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and a graduate of both Cambridge University and The Juilliard School. He was appointed Municipal Organist of Portland, Maine in 2017, where he presides over the mighty Kotzschmar Organ (1912), a sister organ to our own 1926 Austin.
