Margaret Helene Harper, organ

Concert Organist Margaret Helene Harper has performed across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, including national conferences of the Organ Historical Society and the Association of Anglican Musicians. Dr. Harper currently serves as the Director of Music and Organist at Trinity Church Princeton, New Jersey, and previously served here in New Hampshire at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, and was the founding Director of The Choir School at St. John’s. She also holds the Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music.
Harper continues the FIRST MUSIC legacy of top international concert artists bringing the Anderson Memorial Organ (Austin Organ Company-Opus 1406 from 1926, restored in 2015) to life. Come hear her take the mighty Austin through its paces in a program fit for organ connoisseur and newcomer alike.
This program- underwritten by the FRIENDS OF FIRST MUSIC- offers a chance to hear all 4,000+ pipes of the now 101-year-old pipe organ: from the quietest whisper to the loudest roar and rumble of the King of Instruments!
